Announcements

Updated on 25-March-2020

Assalam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Following "Stay at Home" orders issued by Governor Wolf for Bucks County (and other counties in PA), and for the safety and welfare of our community, we have extended the closure of our Faith Unity Islamic Center till April 6, 2020.

We will constantly be evaluating the situation and may make further changes as mandated by the Governor and the Center for Disease Control. In addition, we shall also monitor the openings/closures of other Masjids in and around the area and take that into consideration before announcing updates beyond April 6.

Important - Coronavirus Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Assalamu Alaikum.

The Prophet said, "If you hear of an outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; but if the plague breaks out in a place while you are in it, do not leave that place." (Hadith #624, #5396, Sahih Bukhari; Hadith #2218, Sahih Muslim)

Taking into consideration the above hadith in context of the rapidly growing coronavirus pandemic and the local and national efforts to control it, President Trump’s declaration of a National Emergency, Governor Wolf’s declaration of closing Community Centers in Bucks County and surrounding areas, and our overwhelming concern for the health and safety of our community, the Trustees have decided that all activities at the Center are closed effective immediately till March 31, 2020.

This includes the five daily prayers (which may be prayed at home), Friday prayers, Sunday tajweed classes, Sunday school, Family Halaqah, Ladies Halaqah and any unnecessary gathering. The only exception is people coming in to inspect, clean and/or disinfect the Center, removal of rugs for cleaning, etc.

We all hope and pray that with these simple but effective measures in place, we mitigate the risk of exposure to COVID-19. The situation will be constantly monitored and reassessed and announcements will be posted accordingly.

May Allah bless you for your understanding and cooperation, and keep us all safe and healthy. Aameen
