Registration Starts Soon for 2024 - 2025 School Year
The Faith Unity Islamic School is aimed at providing basic Islamic education for children aged 5 and over. A typical day begins with a short discussion on a relevant subject with a take home message. Examples may include explanation of key Islamic concepts, lessons from history, or the life of the Prophet (pbuh) illustrating model conduct and etiquette. This is followed by two longer classes focused on Arabic reading and writing, salaat, learning surahs with meaning and context, Islamic principles, and the Seerah of the Prophet.
The small class sizes facilitate student-teacher discussions in an atmosphere that fosters a spirit of enquiry. In some cases, volunteers are also available for those who require individual attention. Between classes, a short break allows the students to play games and socialize.
All students are greatly encouraged to make audio-visual presentations at social events often held by the organization.
